Flipped Classroom - YouTube
Assalamualaikum and a very good day to all readers. As it has been 8 weeks of learning, there is so much that I have learned. In this week's lesson, we were tasked to write our opinion on the way or platform for the flipped classroom. The one that I have chosen is YouTube.
YouTube is not something new for anyone anymore. The application is useful for anyone to use to watch videos of learning, fun, lifestyle, foods, and, etc. As a student, we mainly use YouTube as a platform for learning.
Since the start of online distance learning, YouTube was one of the main platforms for lecturers to post their videos of lectures and teaching. As the video is posted on YouTube, it makes learning so much easier as some of us students have internet connection problems. By this, we are able to watch it any other time when our connection is much more stable. Aside from that, lecturers have also linked a video from YouTube itself as additional materials for us to look at. As YouTube is a massive platform filled with various videos relating to what we learned, it is a no-brainer that the platform is useful not just for us students, but anyone with different needs.
If I was asked why I think YouTube is a great platform for flipped classrooms, I would say that YouTube is a popular application. Everyone who owns a smartphone has this app. On laptops, you just have to search for it on your browser page. Even television is smart now that it also has YouTube on it. This just makes it so much easier for students as there is no need for the need to learn the ways of other platforms.
Other than that, YouTube is very user-friendly. Need to learn about a math topic, just search for it. How about a food recipe? Just search for it. It is very easy to find what you need. Plus, just from what you have watched, YouTube will display other videos of your interest on your recommendation page.
And one major point that I have stated above, various types of videos. It is a great platform for students to watch a video on a topic before class. You just have to search for it and pick from thousands of videos in its' categories. No hassle is needed.
Lastly, apart from all of that, YouTube is also a great way to relieve tiredness and stress. Have fun, by watching funny videos or watching anything after you finish studying. But remember, never watch too long of a time, or that just going to turn into a negative trait.
Thank you for reading, and I hope all of you have a good day :)
